Reiki & Energy Healing
Trauma-informed Reiki & Intuitive Energy Healing
What is Reiki?
Usui Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese energy system developed by Mikao Usui in the early twentieth century. Through gentle hands-on or hands-above techniques, Reiki works with the body's natural Life Force Energy to encourage deep relaxation, support regulation of the nervous system and promote overall wellbeing. While Usui Reiki originates from Japan, the knowledge of an invisible energy that flows through all living things has been a part of collective wisdom and modalities across many cultures for thousands of years. People seek Reiki for many different reasons. Some come looking for rest after prolonged stress or burnout. Others are navigating grief, major life transitions or simply want dedicated time to reconnect with themselves. Reiki is not a medical treatment or a replacement for healthcare, but many find it to be a helpful complementary practice.
What is Intuitive Energy Healing?
Intuitive Energy Healing is a personalised energy work session guided by clairvoyant reading of the auric field, drawing on five generations of seership. Where Reiki focuses on deep relaxation and nervous system restoration, this session is well suited for those seeking spiritual insight and clarity alongside energetic support. Modalities are shaped entirely by what your field is calling for and may include chakra balancing, aura cleansing and repair, energetic cord cutting, auric field reading and body mapping, emotional imprint release, ancestral healing and channeled messages from guides, ancestors and loved ones.
Before anything begins, the approach is co-created with you based on your belief system, relationship with energy and what feels most aligned. Nothing happens without your full awareness and consent. Every session is trauma informed and closes with a detailed debrief. Sessions take place fully clothed on a treatment table or seated.

Reiki with Bri
Before anything begins, Bridgette takes the time to understand what calm actually feels like in your body, what language resonates with you and what your relationship with touch is. For those whose nervous system responds to touch with alarm, sessions can be conducted with hands above the body exclusively. She also accommodates any sensory preferences around scent, sound and lighting. Each step is explained before it begins so that the experience isn't something that happened to you, but co-created with you.
What Happens in a Reiki Session
During the session Bridgette works exclusively with traditional Usui Reiki techniques, hands placed or held above specific areas of the body, guided by intuition rather than a fixed protocol, weaving in breath and optional meditation guidance as the session calls for it. She doesn’t not scan for problems or work to ‘fix’ anything. She holds a steady presence and allows Ki or Universal Life Force to flow where it's drawn, trusting your body's own intelligence to lead. What clients often describe afterward is not that something was done to them, but that something in them finally had room to settle. Reiki can be supportive for those navigating burnout, emotional heaviness, a busy mind that rarely quiets. Overtime, Bridgette and you can look over patterns across sessions and reflect back on where you started, it’s one of her favourite parts!

Why Blooming Rose Reiki?
Every Reiki practitioner brings a different philosophy to their work. Blooming Rose Reiki was intentionally designed around consent and inclusion inspired by Bridgette weaving her worlds of social justice work with her passion for supporting others through spiritual care. Sessions begin with a collaborative conversation rather than assumptions. Touch is always optional. Hands-above Reiki and energy work is always available. Sensory preferences are welcomed, and clients are never expected to explain or justify the accommodations that help them feel comfortable. Whether you're completely new to energy work or returning after previous experiences, the goal is the same: to create a space where you can simply arrive exactly as you are.
